Entry to The Classic

The Classic is limited to a total of 30 competitors for the Longboad and Stand-Up Paddle contest plus stand by alternates. Should a competitor not be able to compete in the surf contest, alternates will be entered into the contest from the alternate list.

There is no limit on the amount of competitors for the “Punta a Punta” Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) Distance Race.
Entry fee for the Longboard and SUP surfing contest is $400 pesos. Included in the entry fee is a contest t-shirt and admittance to the awards dinner.

Entry fee for the Punta a Punta SUP race is $200 pesos. Included in the entry fee is a contest t-shirt.
Entry into both the surfing contest and SUP distance race is $500 pesos.
Depending on the final mix of the contestant field, the competition will be divided into the following divisions:

Open (Pro) (Men & Women)
Senior- Age 27 and older
Masters- Age 35 and older
Grand Masters- Ages 40 and older
Kahuna- Age 45 and older
Grand Kahuna- Age 50 and older

Friends, family and the general public are welcome to attend the awards dinner BBQ featuring live music for an entry fee of $150 pesos. Entry tickets for the award dinner will be sold during the contest and at the door on the evening of the awards dinner BBQ.

All entry applications for the Longboard and SUP surfing contests as well as the SUP distance race should be made via email to [email protected] or by completing applications available at the Punta Sayulita Beach House.

The cut-off for applications for the Longboard and SUP surfing contests must be received by Tuesday, April 13. All applicants will be contacted regarding whether they have been entered into the contest field or as an alternate.
The cut-off for registration into the SUP distance race will be 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 18.  Registration for the SUP distance race will be available on Saturday and Sunday at the competition tent.
